Re: Gear bags

After posting all of those other ones, I ran across this one randomly and thought it was even better:

Obviously the ID window would need to be removed, and swapping the straps for leather would still be a nice touch.

Re: Gear bags

The nylon on the Austrian bag was my initial hesitation as well. I agree, I think the Italian bag is my favorite thus far. I would probably look into replacing the straps with some leather to give it a bit more of a period look as well.

I'd love some titles of the books that you reference. I imagine they would be a good tool at this point for me.

Hunting

While reading several of the other posts on the forums, it looks like several of the members here hunt. I was curious if your reenacting of the Middle Earth Rangers extends to your hunts, or if people still use more conventional methods while taking game, or if we have a mixture of people who do bot...

Re: Glasses....

Yeah I have them for distance too, my close ups fine, It often makes me think about what it must have been like it the middle ages and such without glasses. If you think about that exact question from the perspective of genetics, individuals with poor eyesight would have most likely died in the Mid...

A brief introduction

Hello everyone! My name is Brian and I have been interested in Middle Earth for the better part of a decade. I've done my fair share of LARPing as well in a fantasy setting (I know, I know) and have also been very interested in honing my survival skills. I'm currently working on putting a kit togeth...
