Re: In Search of the Many-Rayed Star

That looks amazing :P those runes seem very similar to the ones that Tolkien uses to represent dwarvish in The Hobbit - I think they are Anglo-Saxon? I can read quite a lot of it. Just a clue: U and V use the same symbol and C and K are very similar Yes! That was my thought as well! And as it happe...

Re: In Search of the Many-Rayed Star

I keep meaning to come back in here and thoroughly read through all these fantastic replies, but I’ve had the devil of a time making myself actually sit down and do it. Soon, hopefully! In the mean time however... ...Something pretty amazing came in the mail yesterday! :D A few weeks back, Eofor off...

Re: Numenorean design motifs

Re: Plague Mask for Ranger

Nice! Yeah, I've been mulling this over myself. When out and about in the wilderness, where I'm able to at least stay a little distance away from most folks, I've been mostly wearing a large bandana, which ultimately fits the look of the Ithilien rangers quite well I think (particularly the version ...

Re: MERF Random Adventure Pictures

Thanks!

Yeah, I just used my phone camera here, as well as my wife’s. Hers is newer and slightly better, but fairly similar. I’ve found I can get some surprisingly good shots with them, as long as I don’t worry too much about them being extremely high-resolution.

Re: MERF Random Adventure Pictures

This past Monday, my wife and I and a friend of ours went on an absolutely beautiful hike up in the mountains here in CO (Jean Lunning Trail to Pawnee Pass Loop in the Brainard Lake Recreation area, to be exact). We didn’t go in kit, but I figured everyone here would probably love to see some of the...

Re: Working On a New Jerkin

My apologies, I didn't intend to reignite the debate on the accuracy of jerkins. They can definitely be useful and I will most likely make a version myself in the future. Right now, I'm considering a short sleeved Anglo-Saxon wrap-around coat for the extra warmth and as you say "silhouette&quo...

Nice! Yeah, Udwin portrays a Beorning as well, and knows AAALLLL about their culture and history, etc. so if you ever have any Beorning questions, he’s your man for sure!
