Beautiful, just beautiful. Watched it several times, love seeing the adjustments of the wings as it closes in.

Re: Sword Recommendations
If you're looking for an inexpensive short sword, similar to the roman Gladius, there is always this one http://www.atlantacutlery.com/p-1059-qama.aspx?utm_source=Product_Plus&utm_medium=productsearch&utm_campaign=Product_Plus& The Kindjal on this site would also be a good option, my bro...

Re: Rangers Apprentice Stuff
Incidentally, I just read the first RA book yesterday. I started to read it a few years ago, but didn't make it past the first two chapters. After hearing everyone here talking about it, I decided to give it another chance. I was very impressed. Well written, good read...and a quick read too. I fini...

Re: New Bow
That is a great site. I've built three bows from the red oak board bow tutorial, and they all work great. Make sure you get a good board to start with, and then just take your time. It's very easy to do, just takes patience. If you need any help just let me know, plus there are plenty of other peopl...

Shoe Goo is another good adhesive for things that flex. I have some leather soles that I glued to the bottom of some old work boots a couple of years ago, and they're still holding on great.

Love that shot of Keith! This is the fourth place online that I've run across him, and it has always been a pleasure.

Re: The issue of cotton...
I have to disagree with Brian and Wulfgar. I've worn cotton my entire life, and never had any problems with it. Granted, it doesn't get especially cold here in Macon, Ga, but I'm betting it's just as humid here as it is anywhere in Alabama, and I'll take cotton over wool any day. In fact, I wear co...

Re: The issue of cotton...
Ditto what Wulfgar said. I use cotton some for my summer kit, since Alabama gets rather warm, but even then I prefer a light wool since it dries out faster. If the climate here was dry then cotton would make more sense, but the humidity here is so high that having wet clothes on your skin doesn't re...
