That surcoat looks awesome, I really like the design. I've been planning on making a jerkin or surcoat for some time, but I don't have any kind of template to base it off of. Do you think I could find a similar pattern online?

If you can bear to do it, may I recommend taking out the existing stitch between the front and the back and resewing it with a saddle stitch?

I wanted to make a small pouch as my first "foray" into leatherworking. I couldn't find a design I thought I could make, so I decided to draw my own, similar to a drawstring pouch. Peter Remling was kind enough to send a ton of leather and tools, so I had some good materials to start with....

Hello,
When you sew in a straight line, are there certain techniques that can make the stitches even and straight? Or is it just years of practice?
Side note- Does anyone have links to pouch making tutorials and patterns? Thanks
