Re: Leather weight for boot soles?
They're just old with no closure like socks basically. The leather I made them out of is a bit stretchy but it's kind of stretched out more than I want. Just wanting to make a different style.

Leather weight for boot soles?
Hi I'm making a new pair of boots close in style to the ones pictured below but they will cover more of the calf. I'm debating on leather weight for the soles I think the deer skin I have would be most comfortable since I'll mainly just be wearing them on grass but obviously won't be as durable as m...

Best way to repair tarp?
Got this waterproof "canvas" though I'm pretty sure it's nylon or something by the yard online and made a shelter tarp out of it. I've had it set up for a few days in my yard and we had really bad wind the other day which caused this to happen. Any ideas to repair? Picture 1 is is the mate...

Re: Pipe smoking
I had an old account and forgot all of my information ha ha. But I'd probably only posted less than 10 times anyways. I'm currently working on some kit so when I get it together I'll post some pictures.
Thanks for the welcome though!

Re: Pipe smoking
While we are on the subject of pipes I was looking for period ways to light a pipe. I have a Hudson Bay Tobacco Tin like the one seen below but haven't really tried the lens yet. Other than that i could think of a candle wick or just a stick caught on fire. Any other ideas? dfb304edf93c5be0092c44c49...

Re: Pipe smoking
I definitely agree Manveruon, Mine is sort of a practice for public events if you will. I have a distaste for cigarettes but some aromatic pipe tobacco is decently enjoyable just not an everyday thing. I'm more into the creation than the practice.

Re: Pipe smoking
I recently got into pipe making a few months back and now I smoke once or twice a week just when sitting outside. My favorite tobacco so far is just some simple Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic from a drug store it's good stuff! 23897535_10214666737482917_882044110_n.jpg 23846189_10214666731842776_163303...
