Re: Spring time back yard Rangering

You should try stinging nettles (Urtica dioica) The young tips make a good alternative to spinach , but also can be made into a refreshing light ale for a hot sunny day. I also make a tea , which is very pleasant.

Re: Western Martial Arts Youtube Sticky

Good morning, I thought you might be interested to see this training device we started using a few years ago at the fencing guild. It's a Pendleziel and helps develop your distance and general weapon control for all weapon types. Have a look, see what you think: https://youtu.be/s5_nkr1_dc4 Knucker

Re: Anyone make bowstrings? FOUND SOME. :)

While I've not made any strings myself, this is how I plan to make them when I do. The example in the video uses Dacron 50, but I see no reason why the technique shouldn't work with Linen.

Well the Peak District isn't a million miles from me, so I should be able to head over occasionally.

Re: Treasures in the mountains! Coin-caches.

This is a great idea!

I think I need to make a cache near me. I've no idea how many Rangers are here in the UK, but it would be interesting to see a thread here with folks posting pictures of themselves with the contents of Ranger caches as part of a quest.

Re: Hello Rangers

Welcome!

I've just signed up myself, but I think it will be interesting to see how our journeys on either side of the Atlantic progress.

All the best,

Re: Greetings from North Yorkshire

Thanks Elleth!

Yes, I definitely see myself as Ranger material.

I have a YouTube channel, but it currently has little other than a handful of simple clips. It has always been my intention to make longer videos showing the things I do.

Greetings from North Yorkshire

Hullo and thanks for making a great site for those of us with a passion for the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. I've been a life long fan of his works and from early on I thought that trying to live my life learning the skills of the Dunadain would be worthwhile and beneficial. It's great to find that othe...
