Re: Dwarven sketch, based on tolkiens own ones.

As someone working on a Dwarf persona, I would also love to see a backpack.

Re: Nalaumkhah (Odigan WIP - Updates to Follow!)

I'll have to consider what noble implications that has for this sword as I was planning on the Dwarven equivalent of a Ranger - the fells-ward. Iodo, that tooling design is absolutely incredible! What type of Khuzdul are you using to translate? I'm using the Dwarrow Scholar and what I assume is Path...

Re: Nalaumkhah (Odigan WIP - Updates to Follow!)

Looks like great work so far, Odigan! Bumr B., you say that a bee is "something pretty befitting of a Dwarf to represent on his sword." I was curious if you could you elaborate on what informs this choice of decoration? (I personally wouldn't associate dwarves with beekeeping, so I would ...

Re: Nalaumkhah (Odigan WIP - Updates to Follow!)

Very nice so far, can't wait to see it completed !! What do you plan on doing for the scabbard. Maybe the scabbard would give you a bigger canvas for the line art picture than the pommel. I’m not sure! That’s kind of what I was thinking though. I’m definitely gonna have the scabbard commissio...

Re: Nalaumkhah (Odigan WIP - Updates to Follow!)

Thank you both! I’m really excited for this thing and I absolutely cannot wait for it. Thinking about the name Pathfinder, of Mine and Mountain maybe you could design something that's more of a line art picture, of a path between a mine and a mountain :?: depending on how much space you have to wo...

Nalaumkhah (Odigan WIP - Updates to Follow!)

A few months ago I lamented the lack of Dwarven swords available on the market. I had eventually settled on an Albion that would have worked well enough, but still wasn’t totally satisfied. By recommendation of Greg and Elleth, I hit up Odigan and he drafted up this guy: https://i.imgur.com/ddhtOb...

Re: Albion Swords for Dwarf Persona

Figured I should update this thread as things move along. I had the unique opportunity to handle a few Albion pieces at a show in Southern California. After speaking to Mike and playing around with a Berserkr, I've got one with my name on it coming my way in about eleven months. It'll have blackened...

Iodo, where did you get your new buttons? I really like the flower petal look they have.

Re: Dwarven Bounder?

Fell-Warden is the best name, and according to the Neo-Khuzdul reference I’m using (Dwarrow Scholar) it translates pretty literally to Khazr-Shumruzrak. Not exactly as catchy.

Re: Requesting constructive criticism of maps

Let me preface by saying that I love this idea and I definitely want one when designs are finalized. I think the most important thing here is intent. If these are intended to be framed and put on a wall, then I think the Point Reyes version is more aesthetically appealing. I like the set-up of the Y...

Re: Bracer build from youtube

Yeah, I'm not fond of that aspect. I'll be going with a dark brown leather and brass overlay, I have some reindeer fur I could use for the trim as well. It doesn't look incredibly complex.

Re: Bracer build from youtube

I might have to give these a shot. I’d want to use real steel (probably brass, actually) on the overlay. And that looks like a faux hammered copper underneath, but I think I’ll pass on that.

I sent Odigan a message. His stuff looks phenomenal, I'll use this thread for any updates from Odigan or Albion, whichever path I go.
