Re: Were the Fellowship’s Brooches Unique?
Also did they stay there long enough for the craftsman to make them and have them ready in that short amount of time? i say they would have been an "in Stock" item and then handed out, as for the cloaks its quicker and easier to trim them down to the size of a hobbit then make one of the s...

Re: Dúnedain Star Resources
I absolutely love yours, and I’ve considered getting one for myself for a long while! I just wish Shapeways hadn’t gotten SO DAMNED EXPENSIVE (and also that they offered more actual silver-tone options, because most of their metals are very bronzey). But speaking of expensive… anyone got an extra 3...

Re: THE FANTASY RANGER - Historical Origin And Most Effective Weapons (Video)
I prefer Matt Easton, too and probably watch Scholagladatoria the most. I also like some of Skallagrim's stuff. While I share the common opinion here with respect to Shad, I still monitor his channel. I posted this thread because of the Ranger aspect of the video. The idea of a Ranger a-foot using ...

Re: The Nature of Middle-earth - Discussion!
The staff is a good weapon and an excellent bush-/woods-/fieldcraft tool. A multiplicity of uses. A spear would fulfill the same functions with added dynamics for use as a weapon--but it would look "belligerent" under normal circumstances. I think that Rangers would probably want to adopt...

Re: THE FANTASY RANGER - Historical Origin And Most Effective Weapons (Video)
I don’t want to harsh anyone’s mellow here but from a historical perspective, Shad is full of crap. I hold him in pretty high disdain and wish less people would listen to him. He is egotistical and doesn’t admit when he is wrong which is frequent. He doesn’t back up anything with sources which is t...

nice work mate, and dont worry about the variation on colour with the dying, it only adds to it, and if you add a protective coating over the top it might even it out a bit more as well

Re: What did Boromir's silver collar look like?
It would be a collar of Office. as a representative of Gondor he would have wore it to state his rank and loyalty while among people of different areas there would be no need to wear it during travel, it would have been stored away in his belonging that he carried with him and put on at the correct ...
