Re: On Ekets
I was thinking maybe something like a cinquedea? Wide and elegant. I know its rennaisance era, but I think it could fit.

Its a tale as old as time. A ranger with long, dark hair falls in love with an elven maiden. What a traveling partner!

Re: On Bracers and Vambraces
Rise from the grave, old thread.
I found a good use for bracers. I found I was using mine to push away pokey bushes and shrubs with my forearms. I'll keep wearing mine. Lots of things like that in Southern Ithillien and the Mountains of Shadow.

Re: Minyacálë - Numenorean Eket (Process Thread)
Its beautiful. It reminds me of if a pugio and qama got freaky. Would the pointy tips of the pommel be a little pokey to the wrist?

Re: Two Tod Cutler knives to try out
That's kind of like what I do. Antler is my big knife that I carry on the back of my belt but I also carry a small, 4 inch knife as my eating/utility knife. Depending on the outing, I may or may not carry a sword, but these are my constant companions.

Re: Two Tod Cutler knives to try out
Hey everyone! Leave this one to me. I'm a big fan of Tod Cutler and own several of his knives, daggers, and now one of his swords. I use, almost exclusively, his knives for rangering. They are tough and i've batoned with them. Whenever I go out, I usually either select that very seax, or the Bauernw...

Re: Elvish knives of the Ainu
For some reason, this works very well for Middle Earth. They look like a seax and a karambit got freaky. The carvings are very naturalistic. I could definitely see an elf carrying something similar, but more refined. Maybe if the carvings had more of like a leaf pattern like the handle on the Weta S...

She looks like the perfect ranger sword. I especially love the detailing on the belt. For Gondor, and the city of Minas Tirith!

Re: A Dwarven Sword? What do you think of this?
Kind of a late rep For something similar, may I suggest Windlass's Hattin Falchion... I have wanted one of those for a long time : Kind of a late reply, but expect a review coming in. Also, what are the sword laws like where you live? Maybe she needs a proper home with a Dwarf. Trying to make a litt...

Re: A possibly needless question about Orcs
A good goblin? I guess there might be one if you look really hard. But in the end, the only good goblins are the ones who never come out of their holes.

Re: Rings of Power- Your thoughts?
Rise from the grave! I just think its hilarious that nobody spoke of the series after the first few posts. I think that says more about the show than what was actually posted.

Re: A Dwarven Sword? What do you think of this?
I swear! Eofor always has the best advice put very tactfully! From my first view, the outlines did look dwarven, although more fantasy. It somewhat reminds me of some of the weapons in The Hobbit films, although those are definitely more fantasy. I do like the angles and square pommel. The rivets ar...
