I’ve done several stick and crown handles in the past, as it’s definitely a favorite material of mine. Never tried scrimshaw but I’m always down for a new carving technique!

So I am a big fan of antler handled knives, particularly crown/stick section knife handles. I know a lot of later german knives such as bauernwehrs have antler scale handles, and there’s plenty of Stone Age antler handled knives, but I personally don’t have any good idea of how prevalent antler hand...

I wish I could go, this would be a dream come true for me!

I need a few more miles under my belt before I feel worth of such praise. Thankfully my auto immune disease seems to be in retreat, I've been crafting and am back in the gym building my strength and fitness back up. Pack walks start next month. Glad to hear it, Eofor! Very nice, that’s definitely from the old days of Windlass! Another option in regards to the guard would be to either shorten or cut off the knuckle bow completely, which would make the sword seem a little more Middle Earth friendly. Just a thought!
