Re: My Ranger kit V2

Nice gear, much better pallette.Looks less costume and more clothes I see that you can wear the cloak over everything and your picture twelve shows an interesting side effect.... I had to look twice to recognise it as a human form, try adding a veil for maximum face-on ranger sneakiness. Yes, I agr...

Re: My hard kit for long treks (update)

UPDATE : I sewed a new haversack (in green linen) which I can also detach to carry it with me without all the pack. In this haversack I put everything that is dry food as well as any finds made along the way. I also made a small cushion with foam and a linen cover because the wooden frame of the pac...

My Ranger kit V2

My lords I am pleased to present my new garb V2 to you! I started by sewing a new linen tunic in a medium brown color. I then sewed new linen pants in a darker brown color. Next, I made a new woolen semi-circular cloak in a hunter green color. I made this one with an integrated hood and I don't regr...

Re: My hard kit for long treks (Updated)

It may seem strange to you and many others, but I take a minimalist approach. My coat is long and big with a large hood so I can use it as a tent. I just find a nice tre to lean back against. When hiking long dsitances, I can fold up my coat with a rope around the waste so my legs can move. I wear ...

Re: My heavyweight kit for long treks

That looks very well thought out! Nicely done! Using the belt pouch as a back pocket is just clever. You made the frame yourself, you say? Was there a particular historical model or reference you used, or did you just go with what looked right? Looks like it was a wonderful time out! (And I underst...

Re: Presentation of my first soft kit (with photos)

Nicely done, and it looks very functional! I love the little fish drawing especially. I'm curious about your belt! This is more a general reenactor/LARP/cosplay culture question than anything specific to Middle-earth. I was under the impression the tongueless ring belt was just something ...

Hello my Lords, This is the carrying system I will use for treks of 2 days or more (or if the weather is bad). https://i.postimg.cc/mhRSHsxY/IMG-20240220-165146-edit-793588713956506.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/SjMpJch2/IMG-20240220-165102-edit-793618310089834.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/Pp12kXgx/IMG-20240...

Re: My equipment for short treks

Hello my lords, I wanna show you my lightweight system. Nothing really new, I was inspired by your many creations which I then adapted to my needs. I use this configuration during my short one-day treks (or possibly 2 days maximum if the weather is hot). This kit is composed of a" bedroll"...

Re: Arrow build

Those look great, good job on the nocks. Are you using glue or tape for the fletchings? Thanks Wilhelm, I use glue. I've never had any experience with tape. Of course I only do small batches. your arrows look amazing btw. Andy Having tried both, I would advise using the adhesive tape ONLY if you ar...

Presentation of my first soft kit (with photos)

Hello my lords ⚔️ This is my Middle Earth kit : Not everything is historically correct but some items will be replaced later (while others are essential like medikit for example). Everything you'll see on the photos was hand sewn or made by me. The only items I bought were the 2 knives, the pins and...

Re: Arrow build

Nice arrows! and your nocks are made with patience and precision, some beauties! I love natural feathers too, more flexible and resistance than the treated ones. Normally, with feathers cut like your grey ones, your arrows will be more silenced when the arrow is flying. With feathers with long tip, ...
