I, for one, am working to put together my first bits of my soft and hard kit. I have several things planned for over the summer, including making a tunic, cloak, bow, several knives, and potentially my rangers star.

I am in the state of Oklahoma. We get some pretty heavy rainfall in the spring to summer months, so I wanted something for the occasion that I get caught in a downpour.

I am making a rain cloak out of canvas for my soft kit. Unfortunately, I am not particularly familiar with waterproofing, especially not with canvas. What would you deem to be the best method for such a project?

I use a woolen Ruana Cloak for an everyday winter garb. The cloak I use is a bit too large for effective ranger work, but it does keep me well and warm.
