Iron wolf seax/ bush blade WIP
My anvil is gone, but my love of blades is not. I have in the hot box a 2"wide 1/4" thick peice of 1075 I just got the tang drawn when I ran out of charcoal so when that chore is done, I'll finish the blade on my trusty rail road track. You can see my inspiration here: http://www.myarmoury....

Re: Theft alert: stolen anvil
Thing is a scrap yard weighs your load in and your empty truck out...they usually have no clue what they have, as the guy on the loader just scoops up the metal and loads a truck bound for ....where ever scrap goes. If you lose property at a scrap yard, its gone.. usually within an hour or two as th...

Re: Theft alert: stolen anvil
Its no worse than what I said....Its getting bad here, I've been dealing with gas theives all summer. What gripes me is that the anvil probably went for scrap, and the proceeds went to someones drug habit....I really had to scrape for that anvil....but I'm back to my RailRoad track...Oh well I did i...

Theft alert: stolen anvil
Last night my anvil was stolen from my shop. This anvil weighs in at 125 pounds and is double horned, and has a very small chip at the corner of the face, the under side of one horn has my initials on it,scrawled with an electric engraver. I really hope that I get this one back but its fifty -fifty ...

Re: Games, amusements, and their place.
At the expense of being a little snarky: "For all of the Talk that doesn't fit elsewhere." is the description of the subforum. While I think maybe we should add a forum for gaming and such, until there is one, it would seem this is the right place. After all, we do have a Dunedain Culture...

Re: Museum Replicas Create Your Own Swords
I'll never be able to afford one in this lifetime. Since you didnt ask  ....... I've said this before and I'll say it again anyone can accomplish anything they set their mind to...Saying "never" means giving up the fight before you've even tried. I'm not wealthy but keep a change jar...

As a fellow student of this wonderful form although I dont train as regularly as I used to, I can tell it is a solid foundation for ringen in the German longsword tradition and the body mechanics you learn will be indispensable in sword arts. I would caution you however not to rule out percussion/st...

Re: M.Pikula war sword and Iron Wolf Scabbard and b
Well this is it...The pics were taken in front of my shop I only wish more of the figure in the maple strap bridge had been visible as this is really a pretty piece of wood. This sword and subsequently the scabbard means a great deal to me. During the work I could feel my ancestors all around me and...
