Re: Orcrist Pics

Peter Lyon wouldn't be the one designing the weapons for the movies(atleast not by himself), the concept artists a Weta would be, but usually it's after getting notes from what the director wants. What most likely happened is Peter said he wanted a big single edge sword because that's the way he pic...

Re: Maps?

This is a map I made for a D&D campaign I tried running. I ended up spending more time working on the map and the backstory of the land then actually figuring out how I was going to run the campaign. As a result we only played one game of that campaign, and I ran a slightly simpler one instead. ...

Re: New swordmakers?

I've heard about them before, I believe one worked for Albion years ago. A member of MyArmoury.com did a custom sword through them and there was a detailed thread about it being made if I remember correctly.

Re: Happy Birthday Steve!

Thanks guys, I normally get the automated forum birthday wishes, so this was a nice surprise. On a related note I got the Noble Collection Anduril letter opener. It's nice but unfortunately a different scale than the UC ones. http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x235/NomoZ_1984/anduril012a.jpg http://...

Re: Lost or misinterpret LOTR film scenes

1. I kinda agree with this, although I think the films needed some levity. 2. I think the big problem here stems from doing the films in chronological time; Frodo and Sam don't meet Faramir until around or after the battle at Helm's Deep, and there wasn't a climax scene there so they had to add some...

Re: Lost or misinterpret LOTR film scenes

Main thing I'd change is not having the Army of the Dead at Minas Tirith, and have the southern army instead. The movies made it look like the Humans couldn't win without help. I'd also consider taking the Elves out Helm's Deep, although I didn't mind that one as much.

Re: DT5120 Guard or something similar

Looking for just the guard for a project idea I had. If there's a place where I can find one new that would work too. I just figured since it's a rare design it'd be hard to find.

DT5120 Guard or something similar

Looking for a DT5120 guard or a similar down-curved guard for a single hand sword.
