Re: STATE KNIFE LAWS

Good call...last time I got pulled over, there was a 17" kukri in the passenger seat. It was in the glovebox before he made it to my window. That would've been interesting to explain...

Re: Cloaks

Jim E made his cloak off Andy's pattern...you might PM him and see if he has it saved somewhere. As for hearing from Andy...nothing. My guess is he's been deployed somewhere for so long that he missed a payment on his domain name, so the site went down. If anyone DOES hear from him, let him know we ...

Re: Just a heads up...

THAT would be HILARIOUS! There'd be about four people present who would get it, but that's not what matters...*chuckles* On a different topic, Lori just turned to me and said "Tell the boys I said hi!" after pointing to the computer, so, with apologies to Sinai, Heather, and any others for...

Re: Cartography

My map making projects got put on hold when I moved from Glendora to Northern California, as my terrain completely changed. However, I've recently begun to map my new stomping grounds, and wanted to fill you all in on the methods I'm using to be able to quickly, but completely accurately and functio...

Re: Bladesmith

Why must it happen that NOW, nearly a year AFTER I move 421 miles away from Glendora, that I used to live TWENTY MINUTES away from Ben Potter?

WHY, GOD, WHY?!?!?!?!?!

*sigh*

If ever I find myself working in the Angeles National forest, I'm gonna hunt him down, so help me...

Thanks for setting up that feature! I've always liked, when on other forums, knowing who had posted simply by seeing their custom avatar images. Looking forward to getting to know some new electronic faces!

"The Sun newspaper, a major tabloid here in the UK is today running a story that claims Tobey Maguire of Spiderman fame is to play the Bilbo Baggins role in The Hobbit."

Re: Music

What kind of pipes were you learning? Uilleann or Scottish? I'm assuming here...there are hundreds of kinds of pipes... The B or A Whistle, being two or three scale degrees lower than the standard D, is far less shrill. They've both got some of the earthy qualities that the Low whistles do, without ...

Suitably themed? Well, her ring looks reasonably elvish in artistic inspiration, for starters... There isn't really gonna be a whole lot of Middle Earth present. She tolerates my hobby and enjoys going to renfaire and dressing up for it, but it's not something she's been around all her life, or some...

Re: Cloaks

I second that layering is extremely important, and that's one thing that I think the Filmmakers in the movies as well as the two recent fanfilms got right about the Rangers; they had them LOADED with layers, which is something I'm also working towards. Not to mention that layers look pretty cool... ...
