Oh yes, I was very active on slinging.org a couple of years ago. I went by the same name that I do on this forum. Great bunch of guys, I still drop in from time to time to see how they are doing.

I'd love to see some close-in photos of that sling. I'm another sling fan, but I usually make mine out of paracord and silk surgical tape. Yes, I love my slings. I've made dozens of them, and have been teaching people to use them for years.

Another option for the axes if you don't want to carry a lot of weight, but still want the chopping ability of a two handed tool, would be to take a hawk like the CS Norse hawk, and replace the handle with their 30" handle. The increased length really makes the hawk head work a lot harder, doin...
