This is a a short, but good article about a homestead in 1920s-1930s Montana. I imagine that it would be very similar to life for a commoner on the frontier of northern ME in the TA (during peace time).

Interesting. Thanks for your work on this. I always equated Gondor with the Eastern Roman Empire and Arnor with the Western Roman Empire. That would shift ME a little more SE on the modern maps you show. The problem with that is the Shire-Oxford connection. If you rotate GB to fit into the coastline...
