A new pouch

Made a belt pouch over the Christmas break, to hold the stuff I actually NEED to stay alive in the woods, should I lose my way (or just stay there longer than planned, which is more likely). Contents to be revealed when I get around to describing my current kit. Originally had a wooden rune button a...

Elven steel

So I was practicing some techniques with my wu jian and it came to mind that it looked pretty elvish to me with its heavily engraved pommel and guard and its slim, elegant yet strong blade. Even the way that it is used would seem right at home in amongst the firstborn. https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Re: Athelas

Wasn't Athelas also treated like a weed by most people not influenced by elves? Anyway a very useful plant. I distinctly remember treating numerous wounds and scrapes with it from as far back as when I was 5 or 6. Both my own as well as some friends. Grandpa teaching me about it is one of my earlies...

New quiver

I got a fair amount of leather and a few leather working tools for christmas so I decided to make this. Belt quiver that can be strapped to my leg. Its got some sheepskin on the mouth to make it all pretty (as well as silence it a bit and make it stiffer) and is dyed brown with...mixed results. Pers...

Re: The Lookouts comic book.

I was a scout from 1st grade till high school, then my group just sort of fell apart and and I didnt really want to spend my time looking after kids. Though I dont know how similar scout activity is/was in Finland compared to th rest of the world. I did learn a decent amount of bushcraft there.

Re: My ranger armory

Made some changes to Ethuilos, so I thought I'd post a new picture. The handle is now brown leather string wrap, and I engraved "ethuilos" on runes in the blade along with an eight pointed "star". Also in the picture is a small seax I made the other day and practiced using a drem...

Spear for my emberverse kit

Been wanting to make one of these since I saw prince Nuada in Hellboy 2. A short spear made of a slightly cracked tomahawk handle and a paul chen viking spear head. There's some paracord wrapped just below the spear head for better grip. Also some runework. Handles kind of like a well balanced sword...

Very nice looking sword. If I used two-handed swords I would be tempted to get one my self.

Am trying to figure a fair way to work who gets the first 6.
I'd prefer to wait for at least a few weeks. Been a slow summer for business
