Albion Swords for Dwarf Persona
I spent months researching different custom smiths and spoke to a few regarding a custom Dwarf sword commission. I had settled on what would essentially be a Norse sword with some geometric handle work, but everyone I spoke to gave me the same estimated price. Unfortunately, something like that is f...

Re: Help with weapon/tools for a dwarf ranger
Mine is still coming through customs, but one thing I will say about Adam Thiele is that while I had a general idea in mind, he was constantly making suggestions to make it more of a functional tool than the photos and drawings I showed him. To name a few, the 'eye' of the axe was made longer and mo...

Re: Help with weapon/tools for a dwarf ranger
After seeing the other walking axe in this thread, I had to have one for my own. Here's mine, just finished up and will hopefully be in my hands soon.
I'd love to hear how yours is holding up!

Re: Dwarven Shield Project
If I'm doing a design, I'm going all out and wood burning it. I may add a diamond shape into the face with some leftover tacks or bolts or whatever I end up using, but I could easily burn some design around those.

Re: Dwarven Shield Project
Making a little bit of progress here. The flang has been removed, but I'm holding onto it. The ball peen and burn method sounds like a phenomenal way to make them look antiqued, which is exactly what I'm going for. I also love the idea of the faux planks, which is something I'll have to implement as...

Dwarven Shield Project
I'm currently in the planning stages of a Dwarven persona. Thus far, I've acquired Gimli's Helmet and have both a Dwarven sword and walking axe being commissioned. A friend and co-worker of mine gave me this shield he made ten years ago to assist. It definitely has the size and the shape I'm looking...

Re: Oversized boots for a Dwarf persona
I'm 5'6", so not a super tall guy. I have no intention of putting on the fat suit or the nose/ears/beard, but layering up is an option.

Oversized boots for a Dwarf persona
Hey all. In a book referencing props used in The Hobbit, the propmaster mentions he had custom boots made to make the Dwarf Cast's feet look large, as they would be on a Dwarf. Are there any alternative solutions to this aside from having totally custom boots made? I don't have access to a custom co...

Re: New to the fandom!
Thank you! I saw your summer kit and I like it a lot. I live in California, so I need to be mindful about what material I'm using. I saw you have a book with some Dwarven references, is it possible to get scans of those?

New to the fandom!
Hello one and all. I'm a recent convert to Tolkien stuff. I've never really wanted to dress up as a character before, but the Tolkien world has so much so it that I've decided to pursue a relatively "authentic" Dwarf kit. I know this is primarily a Ranger-focused site, but I've seen some D...
