I had never heard of this wood before so I did some research on it and its actually really good for bows! ...

Wow it's been a long time since I sat down and explored the forum here. I have done a lot in the last several months and will be working on getting some pics of my stuff up. I still need to work on my attire a little but I am graduating in a few days so I will have loads more free time to ranger-up ...

Re: Beijabar of The Nan Anduin T.A. 1640

I dont know if you are familiar with the Elder Scrolls at all, but I see you being a Nord. You got the awesome burly beard and the love of axes. Bow Woods

I just though I would create a thread for people who have bows of various woods, or plan on making some, what woods to look for. I'll start. HICKORY- Everyone knows it and loves it. Re: A Few Bow Making .pdf's

Yup. In the SCA I'm known as Michael Brekebowe, for perhaps obvious reasons. I know the sound and feeling of a bow breaking all too well. Terrible feeling, that. Still, it was a noble attempt, and hopefully you have learned valuable information during the process! Yupp, stick to longbows or steamed...

Re: A Few Bow Making .pdf's

Great links. I just know its gonna break So, it you don't string it, you have a wonderful decorative wall-hanger conversation piece. If you string it and it fails, you have kindling and after some reflection on why it failed, you have experience. If you string it and it works, then ... well then, t...

Re: Need feedback on idea of a 'Middle-Earth inn'

If and when I get out of tech school, I might consider moving to Indiana, but it all depends on job standing. If I ever do show up, I might even set up a little kiosk for my wooden wares
