Re: Boots
I have a size 9.5. So, my feet are too short. But at EEEE, mine may be wider.

Re: Ember. A non LOTR offering
Well, I was about to post the next part of this chapter, but I realized I still need to do some editing. Shoot. It's a little late tonight for me to get onto it. tomorrow, after I work on my resume for a while, I'll try to get it edited.

It's time to step back into the forums for real this time. I'm posting a link to my forge's Facebook page. Once I can revive my YouTube channel, I'll post a link to it as well.

Re: Ember. A non LOTR offering
Thanks everyone. There is still some refinement to do. It's a long way from being sent to an agent. Ember is a part of a much greater world where my writing will be set. If you remember Thorbed from a previous story or two, I gave him his own story, which is a part of the same world, but a different...

Re: Ember. A non LOTR offering
It needs work. but I intend to submit it for publication. I think in trilogies now, so this is the first of a trilogy featuring Martel. A comical note about when I wrote the part where Martel broke the guard's nose: My professor for the class in which I submitted this story was a young lady - probab...

Ember. A non LOTR offering
Here are the opening lines from the first chapter of the new novel I started while in college. I will try to give some commentary on its creation and the process after the story: Martel seethed as he looked down at the few gold coins in his palm. He stood outside the Captain’s tent counting the coin...

Re: Please Read This Post
Thank you everyone! Yeah, so two years ago, I went back to school. I did this on top of working 40-45 hours a week, and dealing with several disabilities, not the least annoying of which was excessive fatigue. But I fought through and made it. I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with ...

Thanks, Peter for bringing this to the forum's attention. And thank you to everyone for the warm birthday wishes. I worked on my birthday, but I took the next day off to prepare for my trip to New Hampshire.

Re: Please Read This Post
I did see him post the news on Facebook but I forgot to express my congratulations then and there so thanks for the thread, Pete! A huge congratulations to Eric. Every time I see a non-traditional student finish up their degree it inspires me even more to work on completing mine. I know it must hav...

Why so rough?
Hail and well met! At present, I'm recovering from an auto accident that happened this past Monday. A guy pulled across in front of me while Elyon and I were going to work. No serious injuries, but the truck was totaled. I took a trip to the ER and got checked out. Now all of the bruising and sorene...

Re: Morgul Blade.
Late to the party again. I pictured them as more of a Misericorde, the "Mercy knife" used by knights of the 12th to 15th centuries. Their function was to kill fallen men as quickly and (hopefully) painlessly as possible. I suppose that fits in with 'Made for a noble purpose and corrupted ...

Re: About Elvish Culture
Hmm, interesting. I believe there is definite merit for your ideas. I think leaf-bladed double-edged blades and recurved single-edged blades would suit an Elf well. I will study your post better when I get off work today.
