Re: What do you think of this

Excellent, "one coat added to inventory". It is indeed real sheepskin, as far as i can tell. I'll see about adding some decoration on the cuffs and bottom (eventually) and some ties to close it on those cold nights on watch duty or what have you. Nothing extra on the collar though it is th...

What do you think of this

So what do you think of this coat, Middle-earth appropriate or not. I tried to combine aspects of Aragorn's coat and coats I saw in the Finnish series Rauta aika (iron age). Made of an old sheepskin army mantle and very warm. Originally I just cut off the over sized collar to allow me to carry my qu...

Re: Pictures of your ranger kit

Thanks. There's a slight problem or few with taking pictures out in the woods though 1.Unlike with my previous home where the forest was literally in my back yard I now have to travel 20 km of city before getting there, police tend to frown on people wearing medieval costume carrying around bow/arro...

Made a cloak.

Grey and made of linen (if my dictionary is correct), could be a lot better especially for the edges, the thread colour could have matched a bit better but all in all I'm pretty happy with it as a summer cloak. Especially as its the first thing I've ever made of any kind of cloth since elemantary sc...

Re: My ranger armory

And here's yet another sword. I think this one is better suited for a ranger, particularly one from the northern waste but it doesnt really fit my fighting style as well as Rhiwiel or even my war sword.

Mirkwood. I would have been in the general area anyway and would have felt obligated to help our elven friends.
