Re: Named weapons
that could be Taurinor, but I might also just not have much imagination currently. it's been quite the long past couple of years. *laughs*
edit: pictures are going to have to wait, it's raining outside and I got dragged through a puddle earlier this morning taking one of the dogs out.

Re: Named weapons
I will have to get pictures of them, and perhaps that will give you folks some more inspiration than I have right now. The swords I have are both from MRL, one is their Ranger sword that they produced back when LOTR first came out, and the other is from the wheel of time collection they had, it's th...

Re: Named weapons
I haven't come up with a name yet, that's where I'm sort of stuck...I have two longer swords that I would like to give names to, but again I'm sort of lost on that kind of thing.
Any help would be much appreciated, so if you folks have some thoughts, ideas and input that would be great.

Named weapons
Do we know what the convention was for naming weapons among the various peoples of Middle Earth? As in, how many of them were there, how did they get named, things like that? or is it just an educated guess type situation? I'm asking because I've got a couple blades that could use names and I'm at a...

I'm glad that my suggestion of Springfield Leather was able to help, Elleth. You've got yourself a lovely piece there.

Found something on FB.
I was looking around on the facebook marketplace and found something quite interesting. I thought someone here might possibly be interested in it, so I came over to at least share it. it's a six treadle four harness Newcomb Studio Loom from the 1950s. I can post the link if you guys want to check it...

another site you might take a look at is www.springfieldleather.com they have excellent prices, and will cut most of their leather to size for you. not a shabby service, honestly.

Re: Second pouch
there are spots where I misjudged the length of thread needed and had to splice in more which would be visible if I got closer pictures of the actual sewing, but I didn't do that since I figured the appearance of the thing is what we're all looking for, it looks like someone put it together in their...

Re: Second pouch
it actually can hold a fair bit, I think I'm going to use it as a foraging bag or something similar, I just need to make a linen strap for it, as I feel that would be a bit more comfortable for carry. once my lady fair returns from her stay in Ireland, she and I will be doing this together, so I'm t...

Second pouch
Sadly, I didn't remember to get pictures of it in progress again, so we only have a finished project. But, it's a pouch put together from scraps left from another project, still out of that same hide I purchased over a year ago now. I'm rather pleased with the quality of the leather, and had I the f...

unfortunately, the reason I stopped playing it is because it broke, and I haven't the funds to repair nor replace it. while music is a passion, it is something I have little true talent and calling for.
