Nice! Does yours have the draw string holes in the arms area?
I just got mine in last night too, dark brown. Seems pretty well built, durable and heavy enough for the material but not too heavy. Just needs some breaking in

Re: Handmade bracers
Looks incredible! Now I wish I would have attempted something similar instead of buying them online :) -Aravir (formerly Rainor_Elulith) You can still give it a go! :D Rob Very true! I’m making a medieval leather pouch this weekend so once I get my leathercraft skills back up I’ll go for it :)

Re: New Blade
Here’s one more of Dûlaithsûl. I also got a cool dagger that came as a free gift from Darksword Armoury. I have to post pics of it sometime and my Elven bow from Crow’s Head. My plan is to post that one when I’m in full kit with some action shots :) These snapshot poses are becoming a tradem...

Re: Which tunic?
That’s good to know! Indeed it does look longer on the website I was thinking almost down to the knee or upper shin area. I’m 6’ on the dot as well so I guess this will be much shorter than expected. Still looks great though, thanks for posting up all the pics. Awesome kit you have there Rob :)

Re: Which tunic?
Great insight Manveruon! You’re right it seems the application depends on climate, weather, terrain, personal taste, etc. I used to be a “biker†in a MC. Leather is king. Protection from the elements, from the road, from debris, amongst other things, all very useful. I ordered the same tunic a...

Re: Which tunic?
It looks like a solidly built piece of gear, and looks quite nice with the rest of your kit, Rob! That said, I don’t know that it’s where I would start. Personally, I think you might be better served getting some linen and wool, getting out in the woods in it, and then evaluating if you think a...

Re: Which tunic?
That's the one I have for my kit upgrade, and I can't say enough good things about it; it's really comfortable and is made of heavyweight leather (I chose the brown version). I even ordered the lace-on sleeve extensions for it, so I could have that option. Rob That looks really great! May I ask whe...

Which tunic?
Here’s a link for a suede tunic I’ve been eyeballing for some time from Medieval Collectibles. Is there a better option that I should be looking at? I don’t want to order and be disappointed. Trying to make sure I’m getting my kit together the right way the first time https://www.medievalcol...

Re: New Blade
Roughly it translates to “Thorn of the Night Wind†(Wind that can be heard). Written Dûlaithsûl, but of course my interpretation could be off basing it off various Sindarin dictionaries.TaylorSteiner wrote:What does your sword's name mean?

Re: Exploring the Ancient Forest today
Oh those are some good woods to play in! Washington State, you say? I've always adored the mountain skyline in the wooded foothills outside of Seattle - is that about where you are? I’m in the Bay Area actually :) this was around La Honda Area, close to Half Moon Bay. I grew up partly in WA thoug...

Yep! Good eye
I’ve got it rigged for lefty setup.
