I recommend shooting with no glove in small amounts until you get some good callus built up on your bow fingers. I use fingerless gloves as part of my kit but shoot bare handed when doing target practice just to keep my calluses in shape. Also sometimes I feel as though gloves mess with my accuracy ...

Greg another thing that has worked for me on the go is to use the fat off of whatever meat I cook as a kind of tallow to coat the blades of my hawk and dirk. Never used it on my sword blade but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Greg I use one the backwoods oilers on occasion and its a good buy. If not that I use a small glass bottle with a cork stopper. As for oil itself I carry lanolin oil. Its historical, a great rust inhibitor and fairly cheap. I also carry a small square of sheep skin with the fleece still on it to rub...

I need some advice on how to attach some good thick leather soles to my ranger boots, which are just Bohemunds Medieval High Shoe that Ive added knee length cuffs to. I need some advice on how to attach some good thick leather soles to my ranger boots, which are just Bohemunds Medieval High Shoe that Ive added knee length cuffs to. Any and all advice would be appreciated.

I would love to if possible. I work four ten hour days and am usually off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I do however have a wife who is 7 weeks pregnant, so it will be subject to how she feels.
