Hmm, my wife has made hints at being interested in a sword for her own ranger outfit. But cash flow is an issue at the moment - just like it is for everyone else at the moment I suppose.
I'll check em out a little later.

Hensinraca: That's really good information about weapons and airlines. In the distant but not too distant future, as Gareth said, I'd love to have a huge get-together. I'm not joking when I say this, but maybe by 2010, I'll have become the published writer that I've dreamed about for 25 years and st...

Let me know the shipping and I'll be glad to pay it. But I'll have to wait until next Friday as the Mortgage has to be paid this week. I'd love to give her a new home.

MAN! You guy have your group then! That's great! I'm going to start today working on recruiting a friend of mine that needs a hobby. He is really into the outdoors and his degree is in forestry. But like myself, he got stuck working at a sawmill to pay the bills and keep the orcs-I mean bill collect...

Regional Ranger Rendesvous?

Hey, that's alliterative! :D What's plural for rendesvous? Rendesvouses? OKay, seriously. I wish we could all load up and get together to learn from each other. But that's close to impossible. Most of us are spread across the US. One of us is in Greece and at least one of us is in Iraq at the presen...

Man Dave. I really need to get together with you and see your armoury one day. I still need to put a handle on that axe head you gave me. We're getting settled in nicely and I'm about to start doing some of my own projects again.

Well, I appreciate that Andy has told us where he will be, and if we are to stay specific on Tolkein matters, then we shall have to delete his entire post (which I will not do). No matter what military one belongs to, I feel that Tolkein's words have relevance to them. Certainly no offense intended ...

Really wish I could join you, but Louisburg, NC to Long Island is quite a commute. :( I could really use a study group in my area. I'm just playing around with it at the present, but I'm hoping to fashion a waster out of some oak, or some purpleheart once we are settled into the house and I can get ...

I have that same pair of boots. I made them when I was a teenager. A few years back, I found them at my parents' house and brought them home with me. I don't wear them any more as I have made a different type of boot also from Tandy.
BTW, Welcome Faolan to the forum and to the thread.

Two words: dust mask. Please. With my asthma, I am growing more and more conscious of my own lungs. You only get two, take care of them.
