Just noticed that this new forum has popped up, but I can't seem to access it. Don't really know if I'm supposed to or not. Anyone know anything about it?

Re: When does a Dunedain use Sindarin vs. Westron?
I don't think so - Westron itself is an evolved pidgin of Adunaic, and the long-distant Faithful Numenorean ancestors of the Dunedain - as I understand it - intentionally distanced themselves from much of the corrupted Numenorean culture of Al Pharazon's time. Rangers conversing in old Adunaic rath...

Re: When does a Dunedain use Sindarin vs. Westron?
Thought that I might as well just interject my voice here. Mightn't they have used Adunaic when discussing sensitive matters? (reference here: http://tolkiengateway.net/wiki/Ad%C3%BBnaic ) Very few would have spoken it, and your average man would most definitely not be able to make sense of it. I wo...

Wow... That looks great. I'll admit that I too have been eyeing Urthgard's quiver ever since I first saw it, and this is a wonderful rendition. It also has alerted me to the fact that I need to get back to assembling my kit sooner or later, or I might just fall behind.

Re: Revisting the text - it's been so long!
I do much prefer book Faramir to movie Faramir. I agree that he really is a much better character in the book. The reason why he doesn't want the ring is plausible enough, and it escapes me why they didn't keep him the same in the movies. I feel he isn't so much of a "cliche good" charact...

I'm sure that you would be able to manage something like this yourself without loads of space and fancy equipment as that's what I did! The only tools I used to make the blade its...
