Rangers in the Carolinas

Post by Dinendir. »

So, in a discussion between me and Mirimiran, we had decided that this year might be a wonderful opportunity for some of us to get together. Start with the replies and see if we can hash out a good time this year for us to get together.

Of course, this isn't just restricted to those of us in the Carolinas. All are MORE than welcome to join. The more the merrier! :D

Technically I am from Carolina, but am currently in Texas. If I get enough advance notice I could try to make it.

To answer Kellen, I don't know how many miles, but it is 16-19 hours depending on where and how fast you drive.

Over 900 miles easily. He's right, about 16-19 hours of driving time.

I just drove back from Norfolk VA after getting my daughter from Chincoteag another two hours up.

We do the VA-FL trip in about 12 hours if we are not killing ourselves and I go through both Carolina's and Georgia on the way using the I 95 corridor.

We will be going through the entire legnth of NC and TN for thanksgiving so something in that timeframe might work. (before or after)

I would love to come as would Brandwyn so plan us in for the Corolina Moot! Hopefully we can fit it into the SCA Schedual!

Ringul, will you be down for the weekend before or the weekend after? It'd be great to have you there! :D

Not quite sure but I will be traveling out to NW TN for thanksgiving the rest revolves around Brandwyn's time off so keep planning and we will do our best.

Well, the best deal for my wife and I would be to meet up at the local Renaissance Festival, as she would have a very hard time camping and the like. The dates this year are:

October 6th - November 18th, weekends. We didn't get to go last year due to family issues, but we really want to go this season and would love to see old friends and new!

So, hope we can get something together for this year!

Erich most likely won't be able to get any leave to come home during that time since he is coming home for the holidays in December.. however our youngest and myself do plan on going one of the weekends again this year. Just not WOW weekend in October hehehe.

WOW= War of the Wings---SCA event hehe. Oh, which just happens to be a lil farther north in NC than the Ren Faire hehe
