The Flintlock Gun-Then and Now.

Post by Le-Loup »

This short article explains why I choose to carry a flintlock fusil, not just for historical accuracy, but for my survival. I am not claiming it is a better tool than a self-bow or longbow, but it does have some advantages over the bow, but a bow can be made in the wilderness with basic tools, and a gun cannot. If TEOTWAWKI should ever happen, and I had to leave my forest home for the deeper wilderness, then I would not be travelling alone. Other Rangers will be coming with me plus carriers and a variety of gear and tools. So this choice is about what I would carry if I had to choose only one hunting tool (apart from my knives and tomahawk).

Only a short article, but with images it would take up a lot of room on this page, so I hope you don't mind following this link to my blog.
Sincere regards, Keith.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference.
