This looks like a pretty good tutorial.

Hmm, now this is interesting as I am seriously thinking of starting on a new pair of boots. I'm looking to upgrade my thin soled Tandy Leather boots that I made a few years ago.

I've seen this one before, but never tried it. Looks promising, though!

Mmkay, the instructions are tiny! Of course I don't have a deviant art account - yet. How do I view them?

Edit: never mind. The stupid spell just passed.

Neat!

I've had a roll of leather sitting in my craft room for months: I'd been intending to make boot-tops like Manv, and sew them onto my old Armstreet shoes. I can't bring myself to cut it though, thinking I might try doing the soles as well.

I'll probably still wuss out and use commercial base shoes. But this does make the sew-everything option more tempting!

I've made many pairs of boots. Most of the are a modification of the Persian Khuff. It's an easy one to replicate the pattern for.
