Hello fellow rangers!

A bit about myself:

I live in Kentucky. I am a rabid Tolkien fan and a fan of GOOD fantasy.

I have hunted and build with self bows for years....have reenacted for years....ans almost joined St. Huberts Rangers....but....then I found MERF!

PERFECT!

I am in the middle of build a crossbow to hunt with this fall......steel prod and iron fittings......

What poundage are you going to make it and what do you plan to hunt ?

I plan to hunt all manner of things....I no lnge rhunt with firearms....

Small game, turkeys and whitetail....

It will be 140# at 14.5".....

Hi Stonedog! Good to have you. Make yourself at home. We've got a good group of guys here that need next to no moderation. I think they have to call me down now and then though. Or do they just make snide remarks behind my back? Hmmm.

Anyway, I hope you learn a few things here and teach a few things as well. I'd love to see some of your self bows and the crossbow. Please post pics.
