Some ranger stuff... Many pics!

Post by Jim E »

Hello,
I thought I'd upload some of the stuff I've made or acquired recently. Here they are:

Cloak and mask on

Woolen mask on

Woolen mask

Various stuff

Fire lighting kit

Scrivener's case closed
Scrivener's case (with Numenor map!) open

Pouch closed
Pouch open

Tobacco pouch

Some clarifications: The clothes I'm wearing in the first pic are not my ranger clothes. Also I'm not a smoker i just wanted to make the pouch!
Hope you like them, any comments are welcome!

Hi Jim,
That is some good-looking stuff there.

The mask: Would you use it during cold weather treks? I could imagine that it would be useful as a camouflage item, to hide some skin.

It looks like you've gotten a good kit up and running.
What about your ranger clothes? Any pics of that?

By the way, I like the looks of the table in the pics too :) .

I haven't had the chance to go outddoors in a long time, so none of my stuff have been tested. The mask, apart from covering some skin, stops the "cloud" your breath makes in cold weather.
My clothes aren't ready yet, since I don"t have s sewing machine and I sew everything by hand.
I love the table too! The nicks and cuts on it are uncountable

Yeah, most of the stuff I have for clothing will be replaced probably this year. I have enough that will maybe look like a ranger at our Renaissance Faire, but not really in the wild. So I have set out to work on that now (see my thread about boots). I am about to begin work on a belt for myself and my son. I bought the blanks yesterday when I bought the hide for my boots.
