Keith.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Neat!

I wish there were more/better images. Tons of ads on the site, when I finally got to what content there was it looked like just a muddy mess except for the drawplate.
Still a cool find!

I had seen that - neat! An old reenactor friend in Alaska was (I assume still is) a major Roy Underhill fan.

My (very unfinished) period sewing box is of the Mastermyr pattern - one of these days I need to get hubby to forge some hinges for me. :)

It's a damn good thing these guys rested their toolboxes on gunnels or walked across semi-frozen lakes every once in a while or we would know nothing about them! Seriously, you won't find the good tools that were owned by the master craftsman because they were most likely not as clumsy or careless so as to lose them! So in essence we have several examples of apprentice tools.
I am Ringulf the Dwarven Woodsman, I craft leather, wood, metal, and clay,
I throw axes, seaxes, and pointy sticks, And I fire my bow through the day.
Come be my ally, lift up your mead! We'll search out our foes and the Eagles we'll feed!
