Morning Patrol

Post by Eledhwen »

Mae Govannen!

A test to see how this works, this video is from my own YouTube channel. This is from this mornings' patrol. Not really MERF worthy, yet I had a lot of fun and in it is closer to MERF than most other things I do. It is only one of a few short videos from this morning. My lass took it, her first time attempting video with my digital cam. Olympus Tough.

Very cool! You moved very naturally there as well, someone comfortable in their gear, well done!

I am comfortable in my kit; I have spent a great deal of time in it, and not just when I was doing the SCA. These days I often wear kit, or partial kit, most of the time. The only way to get things comfortable is to 'wear them in', in my opinion. :) I also, of course, hunt in kit, which helps more than a little. :)

I put things on it to do with hikes, or now Ranger stuff, eventually medieval hunting. No formal plans, if that is what you mean. It is just stuff. Raw video, for the most part. I haven't the time, or really the desire, to learn video editing, nor the funds for a good editor. They are just glimpses into the things I do.

There may be, at some point, some video on arrow building, bowyer work, possibly a bit of small scale smith work, leather stuff, and garments. The stuff that enables the activities I enjoy most. :)

There are no safe paths in this part of the world. Remember you are over the Edge of the Wild now, and in for all sorts of fun wherever you go.
