The reviewers seem to love the artwork, but some indicate that there are errors and typos.

I recall flipping through it at the bookstore once and deciding to pass on it.

I forget exactly why - I think a combination of mostly redundant information and inconsistent / not-very-appealing art.

For a person particularly interested in that corner of the subject matter it might be more appealing - and would have been especially so in the pre-internet era.
Persona: Aerlinneth, Dúnedain of Amon Lendel c. TA 3010.

Without seeing what's inside it's hard to say, but If it's anything like David Day's many other offerings, it's a load of rubbish. Typos would be the least of your worries, he's pretty notorious for copy&pasting already-poor-quality material from his other books.
Personae: Aistan son of Ansteig, common Beorning of Wilderland; Tungo Brandybuck, Eastfarthing Bounder, 3018 TA; a native Man of the Greyflood, c.850 SA

His Tolkien Dictionary is atrocious. Incorrect information, more than once.
