I recall flipping through it at the bookstore once and deciding to pass on it.
I forget exactly why - I think a combination of mostly redundant information and inconsistent / not-very-appealing art.
For a person particularly interested in that corner of the subject matter it might be more appealing - and would have been especially so in the pre-internet era.

Without seeing what's inside it's hard to say, but If it's anything like David Day's many other offerings, it's a load of rubbish. Typos would be the least of your worries, he's pretty notorious for copy&pasting already-poor-quality material from his other books.

His Tolkien Dictionary is atrocious. Incorrect information, more than once.
