Tandy Kodiak Leather
so I've finally started working with the leather I bought, it's quite supple and flexible, but thick enough for the pouches I'm making. it's also not a chrome tanned leather, at least from what little I know about such things. it seems that it would be quite water resistant as well, something I'm going to hopefully be testing out soon.

It is actually chrome-tanned leather.

I've heard somewhere that some sort of similar chemical process similar to chrome-tanning was known, if not really common, in the old days.
What project do you have planned for this leather?
https://www.adamsleatherworks.com/leath ... pretation/Oil-tanned leather is not actually tanned with oil – it is usually a chrome-tanned leather that has been treated with oil to make it more weather resistant.

There are no safe paths in this part of the world. Remember you are over the Edge of the Wild now, and in for all sorts of fun wherever you go.

I've got a few pouches in mind for it. I think it'll work out pretty well for that.
