Did you use a tripod or bring a friend?

I brought a friend. I didn't have a camera, so we didnt get any pictures of her.

Hiked around a bit, took a few hundred pictures. It was stupid hot, so we kept it pretty low impact.

The way you've tied your arrowsock down is interesting - I'd not seen that done before.
And... ah! California. I thought that landscape looked familiar-yet-odd. Those pinecones are ginourmous!

.. the blade on your quiver strap is interesting. Homemade?

It's actually an integrated "sleeve" at the mouth of the quiver that can be extended and cover the arrows if need be.

That's the "viking" by helle knives. A cool little viking inspired scandi ground knife. It makes an excellent by-knife.
