Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI (home to Tolkien's original manuscripts) is conducting interviews to collect three-minute statements from Tolkien fans. They are looking for a total of 6,000 persons, so here's your chance to go on permanent record describing what Tolkien means to you. If you cannot make a trip to the University in person, they are scheduling on-line video conferences.

I'll be making a visit in person, so of course there will be some shameless plugging.

Much though I would like to do this I fear I’m not the orator Greg or Eric are enough to do a three minute statement on my love of Tolkien’s works justice. I do hope any who attend will be able to post their statement here. I have no doubts we will be well represented.
