Thanks for sharing both the photos and the Iceland story. I'd like to read the write up on hypothermia.

Gimli: It's true you don't see many Dwarf-women. And in fact, they are so alike in voice and appearance, that they are often mistaken for Dwarf-men.
Aragorn: It's the beards.

Don't know if it counts as an adventure, but here's me at my booth at the Las Vegas Renaissance festival. Image

And a bonus of me stump shooting in what passes for a forest in southern California. Image

An outtake from me and my wife's' engagement photos. A bit more modern, but the setting was definitely Middle Earth-esque. Image

I'll pitch a few in here! Sometimes I forget to post things to the forum that get put upon on the MERS facebook page, but since there's a 'Random Adventure Pictures' thread now, this seems the perfect place! These are outings from the last few months/this winter.

...and this is Echo, who I'm not sure I introduced to the forum this year. Been a busy season!

So. COOL. Is Echo some species of the Buteo genus? A broad-winged hawk, maybe, or a juvenile redtail?

Juvie RT. She's my second bird for this season, eighth I've had since I became licensed...we got off to a rocky start, with my first bird dying in late September after only three weeks in my care due to congestive heart failure. Since Copper was my 'first' this season and he didn't make it for reasons of natural selection, we named the second Echo. It was an unpleasant start, but we pulled out and we had a great season with her instead.
