Neat historical archery site!

Post by Elleth »

I just ran across this looking for information on historically appropriate blunt points for - as I have learned not it's called - "woods roving." :)
He has lots of pretty well contstructed experiments it looks like on the capabilities of old British warbows:

As an aside - I'd never have thought of that forked point as a small game / bird head! I wonder how much trial and error went into inventing that thing?
Persona: Aerlinneth, Dúnedain of Amon Lendel c. TA 3010.

Marks site is a gem, I've been a regular visitor for years now. Hoards of good info not only on historical archery but many good tips for the warbow shooter as well.

There are no safe paths in this part of the world. Remember you are over the Edge of the Wild now, and in for all sorts of fun wherever you go.
