Glad you enjoyed it. I thought it might prove a fun break from the sequential cutting we normally do. After all a Ranger may not always have the benefit of dynamic movement. Regardless of blade preference you never know when you might find yourself fighting in a tangled hedge thicket around Bree or with your feet firmly planted in the boot grasping muck of the Midgewater Marshes. Sometimes you have to cut without the luxury of much movement or space.

As evidenced by the wet cutting stand, it took a couple tries to get a satisfactory complete cut, but there it is. Backdrop happens to be freshly painted oilcloth.

Nice iteration. The Vassal strikes again!

New rule...Odigan has to use wooden swords blindfolded and one hand tied behind his back.

I'll bet I can get a wicked edge on a wooden sword...

Ok but you have to sharpen your wooden sword with a wooden sword blindfolded with one arm tied behind your back.

I’d never bet on something that I know is a guarantee lol.

At the 11th hour, I'm headed outside to the stand... BRB...

Update: Fail. I don't think I have the blade mass (certainly not the leverage) to get a one-inch-punch type deal going.

In the spirit of the challenge, I tried half-swording from a few inches away as well. I was hopeful, but the leverage gained from a forward hand and a fulcrum at the guard isn't the same as a fulcrum at the guard with a hand on the pommel.

Carry on! Had fun...never tried half-swording a bottle before!
Now the sword shall come from under the cloak.

Nah, give it another go in the morning light I say. If you haven’t already maybe try Odigan’s approach and come straight down?

The target is 15 paces and the stand is about 7 paces. Hope everyone has a bow. https://youtu.be/yjMwMYozXYE

Just be careful not to catch your bow string on your sword when firing. Maybe we should not do this one? Greg?

Nice one Taylor :P
