Longbow

Post by Jon »

Im looking at buying an 30lb English longbow that works well and efficiently but isnt too expensive. I'll make my own arrows for it (and im hoping that wont cost too much either). If you have any ideas on where to purchase these things that'd be great. Thanks

I have one of their bows; a bamboo backed hickory reflex-deflex. It shoots like a dream. It is 55# @ 31"...you can get your actual draw length from them easily. They deliver fast too.

Not slick productions they are well made and inexpensive, especially for the quality.

Second for woodbows. I have a 50 lb bow with a 32 inch draw length. Very hard to find normally but no problems through them. It shoots great.

Nice site. I will definitely be placing some orders in the near future. Need some new arrows and those are definitely the best prices I have seen.

The bows I've owned come rudderbows.com Jim make a really nice consistent bow for what I consider to be a great price for the product you get. I'm currently shooting an Bamboo backed Epe flatbow 55@29.

Rudderbows is excellent. I've gotten most of my bow and arrow building materials from them. Even some classic medieval points.

I haven't got one of their bows as of yet..but it is only a matter of time. ;)

I personally think that 3 rivers wants WAY too much for a bow. I have a Rudderbows Hickory Longbow and its gorgeous. It shoots nice and has nice snap to it  I recommend them as I cant say much for anywhere else

3rivers sells Rudderbows among other brands. In fact, the one I was looking at was made by Rudderbows.
