A couple of different approaches toward stealthy walking. Notice that the ninja places his toes on the ground first, then rolls the rest of the foot in place, while Tom Brown III places his heels on the ground first.

I'm surprised re: Tom Brown III...his dad (I believe it's his dad, anyway) advocates the Foxwalk in his book, which starts at the outer (little) toe, and rolls in and towards the heel, much like the "ninja" was shown to do here.
Now the sword shall come from under the cloak.
