LOTR reads at the library?

Post by Eric C »

Have any of you ever done this? I am considering talking to the folks at our local library to see if I could volunteer to come in on a regular basis to read to the kids from The Hobbit or one of the Professor's other works. I would plan to dress in garb sans the weapons. I'm wondering about breaking the readings up so that kids can sit to listen to them. Sometimes the chapters got a little long. I think it would be a cool idea. I know the folks over at mandalorianmercs.org have done this sort of thing. They look pretty awesome dressed in their armor and walking into a library full of little Jedi and other Star Wars characters. While I may later do Star Wars as I am working on a couple of outfits for that as well, I think it would be cool to do it in ranger gear. May have some young recruits from it, you never know.

So, any ideas for how to pull something like this off?
