Well the suede she has is ok on one side but way too light on the other but I have found a solution. I can take my current ranger jerkin and alter it and mod it for use as Striders and then purchase brown suede here from Tandy to use. It is too light for Strider but would work fine for my own.....if I had only thought of that a year ago

In theory you should be able to darken the suede. It should be fairly easy actually. You could do it with dye, shoe polish, or even to some extent with oil. Obviously it will kind of mess with the suede texture, but in my opinion that just adds to the effect. Makes it look old and weathered.

I had thought of doing it but the other method is simply faster and easier. Because so much has to be replicated to film specs there are pains in dying things. I'm very happy. I just need to decide if I will do the duster and the archery kit now.
