I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.
Not new to reenacting, but I am new to ME Reenacting. I've been a colonial reenactor for about fourteen years now.
My persona has included that of a ranger and scout for a number of years. I think that is one of the things that I find interesting about this.
I also enjoy Tolkien's works, not as well read as most of you, but I am looking foward to changing that as well.

Jamie - welcome to the forum! I'm betting that colonial reenacting gave you plenty of practical experience, eh? Moving from a scout to a man of Arnor ought to be an easy enough transition.

Again, welcome to the board!

Welcome, Jamie!
When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives. Winter is almost upon us, it will be long and hard, but the North remembers and the wolves will come again.

Glad to have you here Jamie. We look forward to hearing from you. We're a pretty laid back bunch here and everyone is rather helpful.

Welcome indeed! I've been cribbing off of colonial reenactors for much of my gear ideas--knapsacks, lighting, food, that sort of thing. You will find that there is indeed a lot of crossover. :)

Thank you all for the warm welcome.
I have been reading through the various forums here and I have to say that there are a lot of cross over ideas between ME Rangers and that of the colonial periods that I have studied in the past.
I already have a ton of ideas, and I am working on bringing things together.
