Re: Greetings From Alabama
Thanks for the warm welcome! I take it that you guys like pictures here? My keen ranger senses are telling me this of course
Well, here's one of my wife and I from the same day that my other picture came from, but before I bought my hood.
![Image](http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx260/Brian_Grubbs/100_9521.jpg)
I'll try to get some pictures of the individual pieces of my kit, and when I do I'll post a thread over in the Crafts & Skills forum. I will say that, other than my hood and my pants, everything else in my current kit I made, as well as my wife's shirt and pouches. But enough teasing, I will get those shots up soon I promise.
Thanks again everyone for making me feel like I belong.

Welcome, good looking stuff. I spy a sling rather like mine on her belt.

Re: Greetings From Alabama
Yes, I love my slings. I've made dozens of them, and have been teaching people to use them for years.
Sorry I forgot to put this in my last post, but I'm from the Birmingham area in Alabama. I meant to answer that question last time but it slipped my mind.

I'd love to see some close-in photos of that sling. I'm another sling fan, but I usually make mine out of paracord and silk surgical tape. Or my best one has pouch someone gave, made of conveyor belt material. I'll bet there are no Middle Earth equivalents for that!

Indeed I did. He sent two sling pouches, but I'm not sure where the other one is. If you know of him, you must know about slinging.org. I mostly lurk there, but I've made a few posts under the name hoosierdaddy. You didn't get that conveyor belt sling from a gentleman in Australia did you?

Re: Greetings From Alabama
Oh yes, I was very active on slinging.org a couple of years ago. I went by the same name that I do on this forum. Great bunch of guys, I still drop in from time to time to see how they are doing.
