Ranger of the Year Award

Post by Peter Remling »

Running a little late this year.

Between now and Jan 1, 2014, I'm accepting nominations for the "Ranger of the Year". Please nominate those you feel exemplify the spirit of this forum. On January 1- the 10th, I will run a poll thread where the membership can vote.

Have a great New Year.

I'd like to nominate Straelbora, who joined earlier this year and has contributed a rich amount of knowledge and enthusiasm.

I'd like to nominate a true elder of our group, Eledhwen, who remains an example of someone who lives by their beliefs, and embodies the spirit of this group, recreating the life of the Ranger of long ago.

I'll second Mirimaran - Eledhwen has so much experience behind her, and is ever ready to share her knowledge… she would definitely have my vote as Rnager of the Year. Being 'new' to the forum, it is so hard to choose (Ringulf, Straelbora, Manveroun, Peter Remling, Caedmon, Andy, Mirimaran, …..) Sindara

Thanks for the shout-out, guys! Flattered though I am by the nomination, I must humbly point out that I haven't actually done any real "ranging" this year (or honestly, nearly ever), so in the true spirit of the forums - that being, trying to really embody the ranger lifestyle - I would like to add my support to the nomination of Eledhwen. I also believe Ringulf is a prime candidate, because he literally never stops being amazing at pretty much everything he does.

Straelbora and Peter Remling also come to mind, as does Greg. And then there is Caedmon, who really should get this every year, just for putting up with all of us on this forum, haha.

Thank you very much Alvin, and Manveruon, but I had the honor of being made Ranger of the Year for 2013. So I am not eligible and feel like there are many deserving Rangers out there that have yet to be recognized.
