The Member Shirt.....Bad News

Well guys the shirt may be on hold for a little bit. the tree of gondor and Anduril are copyrighted and I either need to get permission or try and change the image a little.

And this isn't totally necessary but the website told me that the black shield will be very hard to see on the dark green. So I though about it and we can just leave it, put a grey border on it, or make the shirt a different shade of green, but the only one would be like a military OD.

I think that it's going to be easier to change the design. Maybe just a generic sword and replace the tree with a six pointed star similar to the front. And I like OD green.

I think I found a solution. I just took the original pictures and saved them on my computer, edited something that isn't even possibly noticeable, loaded them through photobucket and now its legally mine I think. I sent an email to the customink person and am awaiting a return email.

Now I believe that we should all vote on the color issue.

OD is a lighter shade of green. The black won.t show up well against the darker green, but should be visible on the lighter OD.

Hmmmm... Honestly, I don't really like OD green much - I think the forest green has a more "Middle Earth Ranger" feel to it. But if the consensus is OD then I'll roll with it. Otherwise, my vote is to keep the forest green and just add a contrasting outline to the shield, and other dark parts that may not stand out much. Just my two pence, at any rate.

Hey I've been out of things for a while on vacation. It's not as recognizable as the iconic renditions of the white tree, but this one is really close to Tolkien's original illustration for the cover of Return of the King, and I hold the copyright.

I like the darker green too.

I also like Caedmon's tree, especially if the stars have six rays. XD
